VIRTUAL YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID FOR FLORIDA EDUCATORS
VSC Training has partnered with districts, organizations and companies to provide Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) training at locations across the country.
Our certified instructors have trained thousands of individuals in Mental Health First Aid. We have decided to work hand-in-hand with districts across the state of Florida in training all educational personnel in the state in Youth Mental Health First Aid.
Pursuant to section 1012.584 of Florida State Statutes, all school employees who have contact with children will be trained in Youth Mental Health First Aid. The VSC team can help you get your staff or district trained and compliant.
The purpose of the Youth Mental Health First Aid professional development is to provide adults who do not have a mental health background to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use in youth. This professional development will give adults the skills they need to provide initial support to students until they can receive professional assistance.
