YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID TRAINING FOR Saint Ambrose Catholic School
Pursuant to section 1012.584 of Florida State Statutes, all school employees who have contact with children will be trained in Youth Mental Health First Aid.
In order to assist Broward County Public Schools meet this mandatory state mandate, VSC Training has partnered with the district to provide Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) training for public and private schools across the county.

Ensuring the mental health and wellness of all students is directly connected to the overall philosophy of our school. We are very excited to work in collaboration with VSC to provide YMHFA Training for our educational personnel. This webpage gives our educators, students, families and all St. Ambrose stakeholders a look into YMHFA Training and the positive impact it will have on the lives of the students served by our school.

YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID Training OVERVIEW
Youth Mental Health First Aid teaches adults working with you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders in youth.
This 6-hour training gives adults who work with youth the skills they need to reach out and provide initial support to children and adolescents (ages 6-18) who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to the appropriate care.

VSC Virtual Training & Project Management
VSC Training is a part of a national network of certified Mental Health First Aid Instructors.
Our experiences exceed more than 30 years in education, counseling, sociology, and psychology as certified teachers and/or licensed mental health professionals.

VSC Training has partnered with districts, organizations and companies to provide Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) training at locations across the country.
